Dodgers place Rhp Tony Gonsolin (Elbow) over 15 days

The Los Angeles Dodgers placed right -handed Tony Gonsolin on the 15 -day injured list on Saturday with discomfort of the right elbow.

The right -handers Michael Kopech and Kirby Yates were activated from the wounded lists of 60 and 15 days, respectively, while his right -handed colleague Chris Stratton was appointed for assignment.

Gonsolin, 31, posted a 3-2 file with an MPM of 5.00 in seven departures since he missed the first 30 games of the team season while recovering from Tommy John surgery in September 2023. He granted three points (two deserved) on three strokes in five rounds of a 6-1 set to New York Meds on Wednesday.

Other starters on the IL, who launched for Los Angeles this season, are Tyler Glasnow, Blake Snell and Roki Sasaki, all with shoulder injuries.

Kopech, 29, was sidelined all season with a right shoulder. He went 4-0 with six stops and an MPM of 1.13 in 24 appearances in relief last season. He went 1-0 with an MPM of 3.00 in 10 appearances in playoffs while the Dodgers won the World Series.

Yates are breastfeeding a tension with the right hamstrings. The 38-year-old man has a 3-2 file with an MPM of 4.34 in 22 relief appearances in his first season with the club.

Stratton, 34, has been appointed for assignment twice in the last six days. Previously, it was appointed for assignment on Monday but cleaned out derogations and was exceeded by minors before joining the Dodgers on Friday.
