Dodgers fall to the first home defeat sequence in 4 games since 2018

Los Angeles – Hyeseong Kim started in the central field to remove part of the burden of the tender ankle of Tommy Edman and ended up losing baseball in twilight. Jack Dreyer opened its doors for Landon Knack in the hope of maximizing the clashes against the diamonds of Arizona Diamondbacks opposing, and yet the two gave in seven points in the first three sleeves.

It seems that nothing is fine for the Los Angeles dodgers these days.

Monday evening, they were quite bad in defense and sufficiently ineffective on the mound that their powerful offense could not make the difference. They lost 9-5 at the Dodger Stadium, suffering from their first sequence of four-game home defeats since May 2018.

“We have not abandoned, but you will go through certain situations like this,” said Mookie Betts Dodgers. “It’s just difficult. We were able to find a way to come back in good health, to bring our guys back there. But we are fighting with what we have.”

Three critical members of the rotation of the Dodgers are currently on the injured list; Blake Snell, Tony Gonsolin and Roki Sasaki are all shoulder injuries that treat with uncertain deadlines. Four high -level readers – Kirby Yates, Blake Treinen, Evan Phillips and Michael Kopech – have hit the shelf since the start of spring training. And following this, a dodgers organization which was greeted for its ability to absorb injuries, more recently by driving enclosure games to a championship, was unable to overcome.

Forty-eight games, the Dodgers (29-19) have a 4.28 MPM, which ranks 22nd in the major leagues. Their rotation, praised as one of the deepest weapons of weapons in sport at the start of the season, has the sixth highest era of baseball at 4.51.

“It is not the staff that we thought we would have this season,” said Dodgers manager Dave Roberts. “But I think what we do again and that we have done in the past with injuries, we do not do. And I say that in the sense of getting ahead of the strikers and keeping the ball in the stadium.”

The launchers of the Dodgers rank sixth in the rate of Home Run and started in the account on 117 strikers this season, tied to the ninth in the majors.

Dodgers coaches spent the last days to preach the importance of moving forward and therefore ordering accounts in the hope of promoting a more aggressive approach to their staff. Dreyer seemed to bring this state of mind with him early, taking forward on three of his first four strikers. But the fourth sent a fly ball to the central field directly that Kim, a second recruit player, making his first beginning of Dodger Stadium in this position, has never seen. He landed for a double RBI, triggering a first round of two points.

The D-Backs added another race in the second, on a wandering throw from the third basic player Max Muncy, a wilderness of Dreyer and a sacrifice fly of Geraldo Perdomo. Four others came in the third, when the heel, in the running for a long -term place in the rotation, made the two -point circuits to Lourdes Gurriel Jr. and Gabriel Moreno.

At that time, the Dodgers, after being swept away by the crosstown rival, Los Angeles Angels, faced a 7-0 deficit that they could not overcome. Shohei Ohtani completed his 17th time circuit at home, Betts added two of his family, and the rest of the programming joined to make things interesting at the bottom of the ninth. But it was not enough.

The Dodgers offensive, who brought Edman and Teoscar Hernandez back in the last two days, is whole at this stage. The east pitch staff far from it.

The effects of this are felt.
