Documentary Jay and Mark Briscoe announced by AEW and the players’ grandstand

AEW and the tribune player announced on Wednesday that they are looking at to publish a documentary focused on Mark Briscoe and his late brother and partner of the TAG team, Jay Briscoe.
The documentary, entitled “Two from one: The Briscoe Story”, is expected to be released on Thursday on the YouTube channel AEW.
“On behalf of the whole Briscoe family, we are honored that the players’ platform was interested in sharing our story. We hope that fans appreciate the documentary and continue to honor the heritage that Jay left both in and out of the ring,” said Mark Briscoe.
In a press release, AEW and TPT disclosed that the documentary will be “a story of brotherhood between Mark and Jay Briscoe, the struggle and life after a huge loss”.
It was also noted that “the Briscoe family gave unprecedented access to TPT to their lives and their experiences in the aftermath of the death of Jay Briscoe”.
Mark and Jay were real life brothers who began their career of professional struggle together as a tag team in 2001.
They are best known for the success they knew together in the Ring of Honor from 2002 to 2023, holding the Roh World Tag Team 13 times championships and establishing themselves as one of the biggest tag teams in the history of professional struggle.
Jay, who was also twice the Roh world champion, died tragically at the age of 38 in a car accident on January 17, 2023, leaving behind his wife and three children.
Before Jay’s death, the Briscoe brothers started working for the ROH AEW version after AEW bought the company in March 2022.
They notably had a series of three games against Ftr, who culminated with Jay and Mark Battant Ftr for the titles of the Roh World Tag team in a dog necklace match during the final battle in December 2022.
Jay died a little more than a month later, bringing a devastating end to one of the most appreciated tag teams of all time.
However, Mark won a full -time contract with AEW shortly after, allowing him to honor the memory of his late brother.
Mark then won the ROH world championship, and he is now one of the most popular stars in AEW, making regular appearances on dynamite, collision and payment in sight.
In the heels of AEW and TPT that comes out “Two From One: The Briscoe Story” Thursday, Mark will participate on Saturday in the male match of Casino Gauntlet, winning a future AEW world championship match if he wins.
