Dexter: Resurrection connected every corner of the growing franchise with subtle details and Easter eggs, including an easy-to-miss reference to Right hand season 6. The original Right hand The series debuted in 2006 and ran for eight spectacular seasons.
Throughout the series, the protagonist, Dexter Morgan, played by Michael C. Hall, has faced several twisted killers. From his deeply disturbed brother, aka The Ice Truck Killer, to the terrifying Trinity Killer who meticulously murdered over 200 people.
Dexter: Resurrection serves as an official reboot of the main series and sees Dexter take on a billionaire obsessed with serial killers. Leon Prater assembled a collection of artifacts from dozens of killersand stores these rarities in a special safe at home, providing a perfect place to include a subtle reminder.

Throughout season 1 of Dexter: ResurrectionDexter comes into contact with Prater’s safe several times. Oddly enough, this location holds particular significance to Dexter for a number of reasons, including the fact that he personally dealt with several of the killers whose trophies are on display here.
The exhibit specifically highlights a few pieces, such as the Dexter Blood Slides, attributed to Sergeant James Doakes, officially identified as the Butcher of Bay Harbor, and the Trinity Killer, Arthur Mitchell. But there’s another piece that Dexter is linked to that could easily be missed.
The Sword of John the Revelator is an ancient artifact used by Travis Marshall to commit a series of religious and ritual murders that earned him the title of Doomsday Killer. This room, along with everything else in Prater’s vault, can be explored in more detail on a special website created in connection with Dexter: The Resurrection release.
Prater’s Vault is missing evidence and trophies from some major Dexter villains
Although Prater’s collection is quite impressive, it is by no means complete. Prater managed to obtain parts from some of the most notable killers of all time.including a human skin lamp made by Ed Gein, Jeffrey Dahmer’s refrigerator, a John Wayne Gacy clown costume and the driver’s seat of Ted Bundy’s VW Beetle.
Additionally, trophies from several fictional killers exist in the series. Some of them were introduced into Dexter: Resurrection season 1, and others may appear in future seasons. However, Dexter has dealt with other serial killers that didn’t make it into Prater’s vault.
These include Oliver Saxon, who killed a total of 26 people and was better known to the public as The Brain Surgeon, The Barrel Girl Gang, a group of vile men who tortured, abused and murdered women before dumping their bodies in barrels, or Kurt Caldwell, who was featured in Dexter: new blood.
Prater’s disturbing preoccupation with serial killers indicates that he would likely have treasured something from these killers or the many others Dexter has dealt with over the years. Regardless, her collection is impressive and a great way to incorporate Easter eggs into Dexter: Resurrection.
