Disney, Universal Launch Ai Legal Battle, Sue Midjourney for copyright complaints

In the next chapter of Big Entertainment against Big Tech, Disney and Universal have filed a complaint against the Midjourney artificial intelligence company on tools that allow users to create images and videos that can handle its famous characters with a click of the prompt.
The trial, filed on Wednesday before the American district court of Los Angeles by Disney Enterprises, Marvel, Lucasfilm, 20th century, Universal City Studios Productions and DreamWorks Animation, describes the generative company of David Holz, the Midjourney company as a “useless plagiarism”.
“Our world class IP is built on decades of financial investment, creativity and innovation – investments made possible by the incentives incorporated into the law on copyright which give creators the exclusive right to take advantage of their works,” said Disney Legal Director, Horacio Gutierrez. “We are optimistic about the promise of AI and optimistic technology as to how it can be used in a responsible manner as a tool to pursue human creativity. But hacking is hacking, and the fact that this is done by an AI company makes it no less victim. ”
More to come.
