Disney Experiences Names Michael Moriarty CFO, Follows Kevin Lansberry

Walt Disney Co. is making a significant change in leadership of its Experiences division, which oversees the company’s theme parks, cruise lines and consumer products businesses.
Kevin Lansberry, chief financial officer of Disney Experiences, will retire after 39 years with the company in February. Michael Moriarty, currently president and general manager of Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, will succeed him as executive vice president and chief financial officer of the division, led by president Josh D’Amaro.
“Michael Moriarty brings a deep understanding of our long-term strategy to expand the reach and impact of Disney experiences,” D’Amaro said in a statement. “His global perspective and leadership will help us navigate an exciting chapter of growth, reaching new fans in new places and on new platforms. »
Prior to leading Hong Kong Disneyland, Moriarty was that theme park’s chief financial officer, and also worked as a chief financial officer at Walt Disney Imagineering and in financial management positions at Walt Disney World. The company will later name its successor at Hong Kong Disneyland.
Lansberry, meanwhile, has held a wide range of roles within the company during his career, including a role as Disney’s interim CFO following Christine McCarthy’s departure in 2023. Hugh Johnston joined Disney later that year as permanent CEO, at which point Lansberry returned to the Experiences division.
