The Texas Rangers have certainly seen enough Ketel Marte in recent weeks.
Marte was a constant thorn to the Rangers team and he will seek to cause more destruction when Arizona Diamondbacks welcomed Texas on Wednesday afternoon in the final of a three-game series in Phoenix.
Triple All-Star struck a three-round circuit in seventh round to feed the Arizona 5-3 victory on Tuesday evening.
Marte dominated the two games in this series. And his last four explosions came against the Rangers when he also deepened matches in Texas on August 12 and August 13.
The recruit of Diamondbacks Jordan Lawlar was at the first basis when Marte criticized the 414 feet circuit above the fence in the center left.
“Each time he hits the ball, it’s noisy,” said Lawlar. “And to see it from this angle, it’s even more fun.”
The Homer was the 25th of Marte, marking the third consecutive season and the fourth time in the general classification that he reached this milestone.
The victory was the fifth of the last seven games of Arizona (69-71).
Texas (72-68) has interrupted a sequence of six consecutive victories. Rangers have an average of 9.5 points during the section.
But Texas was safe in nine bats with runners in the rating position and hit three double games. The start of Arizona Nabil Crismatt granted two points out of 6 1/3 rounds.
“We were sometimes unbalanced and (Crismatt) induced bullets on the ground,” said Rangers director Bruce Bochy. “We played so well, so we are not going to dwell on it. We will put this one behind us and come back to a rabbit.”
The Rangers are held at 1 1/2 games behind the Seattle Mariners for the third joker bitch in the American League.
The Texas had won nine of its 10 previous games and Bochy said that “bouncing” is what the club focuses on.
The right -wing defensive player Adolis Garcia (Quadriceps) stayed in game on Tuesday and will not be available on Wednesday.
“We are going to wait about a day and see how he recovers, but it seems that he will be down at least a few days,” said Bochy.
Lawlar went 2 for 3 with a race marked for his first successes in 12 big league games this season. The best hope was 0 for 30 with 16 withdrawals in the stick entering the competition.
“I can’t get closer,” said Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo, about Lawlar. “He narrows the area, waiting for his land and has a very good approach.”
The right-handed of the Rangers Jack Leiter (9-7, 3.77 ERA) will seek to win its third consecutive departure.
Leiter has withdrawn 17 in 13 rounds in his last two. He beat the Cleveland Guardians with seven heaps of two strokes on August 23 and followed by limiting athletics to two points and five strokes in six rounds last Friday.
Leiter, 25, received a decision without a decision against the Diamondbacks on August 12 in his only beginning of their career against them. He abandoned a point and four strokes in five rounds.
The right-hander Zac Gallen (10-13, 4.94) begins for Arizona. He launched his last two departures well by granting a point and six strokes in 12 rounds. It is 1-0 during the section.
Gallen received a decision without a decision against the Reds of Cincinnati on August 24 when he abandoned a point and four strokes in six rounds in the event of non-decision.
