Return of living dead came to life with Devon Sawa.
The veteran actor will play for Steve Wolsh who makes the film of his own script. Sawa will play the role of Isaac Horton alongside new players Casimere “Cash” Jollette (Tiny pretty things) Like Delilah Horton and Kynlee Heiman (The best Christmas contest of all time) Like Sophia Horton. As indicated above by The Hollywood ReporterLiving Dead Media of Wolsh has confirmed that the project is not a restart of the original but rather a new episode of the beloved horror franchise. It takes place in a small town in Pennsylvania at Christmas 1985, 18 months after the events of the original film directed by Dan O’Bannon. This film followed the unfortunate events that followed after two clumsy employees of the Uneda Medical Supply warehouse accidentally released a deadly gas in the air, which led the dead to resuscitate as zombies, infecting the whole city and inadvertently sealing its fate.
The news of the new film occurred in December 2024, because Wolsh and his team had worked for a start planned this year, which marks the 40th anniversary marked by the classic cult. At the time, they dropped a teaser who presented the scary Tarman of the franchise emerging in a cemetery covered in snow causing a Christmas tree through the landscape while an interpretation of “Silent Night” set the mood.

It is understood that the team has started to shoot and has already finished the part of the production of Los Angeles with a main photograph which should continue this winter in the Massachusetts once there is a snow base on the ground to help practical effects. An additional cast is expected.
