New Orleans (Wvue) – Devon Lucie, the chief meteorologist of WDSU 6 news, was arrested early Sunday morning in Marrero following domestic violence and endangering children.

Lucie, 48, was placed by the deputies of Jefferson’s parish on October 5, at 1:22 a.m., he faces accusations of domestic violence with a endangerment of children, a crime under the law of the State, which falls under the law of Gwen and resistance to an officer by refusing to identify, a delicate under the law of the state.
According to preliminary information from the Sheriff Bureau, the deputies responded to a residence in Marrero for a disruption complaint. A woman on the scene told deputies that she had been physically attacked by Lucie, her four -year -old dating partner.
The woman reported that an argument had started during a festival in Gretna, where Lucie would have left her failed without going home, and after her return to their common house, the argument continued.
She said she had no key, so she used a tool to open the door.
She alleged that while she was in bed, Lucie entered the room and hit her several times. She said that they had struggled and that she retaliated into self -defense.
The deputies observed that the woman had several small cuts, scratches and heights on the upper body, forehead and face. She told the deputies that her two children were present and slept on a sofa in the living room during the altercation.

Questioned by the deputies, Lucie would have refused to provide her name and date of birth and also refused to put clothes or shoes. He was medically authorized by the WJMC EMS before being read his rights and transported to the Correctional Center of Jefferson’s parish for booking.
Lucie is from Macomb in the west of Illinois but worked in Las Vegas, Washington, DC, Tulsa, Little Rock, Kansas City, Denver and Salt Lake City.
In a declaration on the WDSU website, they said that Lucie had been put on leave waiting for the investigation.
