Historical interactive map of the historic tornado of St. Louis | All damage, complete track revealed

The National Weather Service Damage Survey teams estimated that the Tornado EF3 had maximum wind speeds of 152 MPH and was continuously on the ground on more than 23 miles. The Twister was also almost a mile wide in certain regions.

The tornado was a perfect storm to cause as much damage as possible, according to 5 on your side, chief meteorologist Scott Connell.

“This is the first death of Tornado since the storm of February 10, 1959 in the city of Saint-Louis … as well as the strongest tornado since this storm in the city,” said Connell.

The survey teams have also taken photos of each of the damage points they have studied when they try to determine the specifics of the deadly tornado. The mayor of St. Louis, Cara Spencer, said that the tornado and other serious storm lesions had caused more than a billion dollars of damage. His office has since worked with St. Louis Community Foundation to create the intervention fund of St. Louis Tornado, which now has a website where people can make a donation.

“I hope the federal government is walking up today,” said Spencer at a press conference on Monday afternoon. “We absolutely have desperately federal aid, and we rely on them to do what they can.”
