Denis Villeneuve to run James Bond’s new film

Denis Villeneuve goes from Dune at 007. The filmmaker was used to make the next James Bond film, the first of Amazonmgm.

Villeneuve will also be an executive producer, alongside Tanya Lapointe. As announced previously, Amy Pascal and David Heyman will serve as producers.

“Some of my first cinematographic memories are linked to 007. I grew up watching James Bond Films with my father, from Dr. No with Sean Connery. I am an unconditional fan of Bond. For me, he is a sacred territory. I intend to honor tradition and open the way for many new missions to come,” said Villeneuve. “It is a massive responsibility, but also, incredibly exciting for me and a huge honor.”

Pascal and Heyman added: “Denis Villeneuve has been in love with James Bond films since he was a little boy. It was always his dream of making this film, and now it’s ours too. We are fortunate to be in the hands of this extraordinary filmmaker. ”

Bond is one of the most sought after franchises for filmmakers. According to some information, the studio directors who met for this film included Edward Berger, Edgar Wright and Paul King.

Villeneuve was the last in theaters with Dune: Part 2which has won more than $ 700 million at the box office and an appointment of the best image. Currently, Villeneuve is working on the third film of Dune, which is expected to shoot this summer.

We don’t know when Bond starts production. The research is underway for a screenwriter who will work with Villeneuve to bring the last incarnation of the secret agent on the big screen.
