In fact, despite being pregnant, Demi was determined to do whatever it took to get ready for the camera.
“I was going to wear a military uniform, and I probably waited too long and started working out and trying to get in shape before he was even born,” she revealed. “I went on a two-and-a-half hour hike the day my water broke. I went on a 24-mile bike ride, then I danced at a reggae club, hence why she arrived two and a half weeks early.”
Over the years, however, Demi’s thoughts on her space in Hollywood began to evolve. And as she took the stage to accept her first ever Golden Globe for The bottom Earlier this year, she shared her views on the weight of being a woman in the film industry.
“In those moments when we don’t think we’re smart enough, or pretty enough, or skinny enough, or successful enough, or just not enough,” Demi pointed out, “one woman told me, ‘Just know that you’ll never be enough, but you can know the value of your worth if you just put the meter down.'”
