David Beckham will be a knight as part of King’s birthday honors

David Beckham should be knight during the birthday honors of the King to come.
The elogious mention would mark a new step in recognition of his legendary football career and his vast charity work.
The 50-year-old man, who led England and obtained 115 international ceilings, was initially appointed officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2003. More than two decades later, he should now receive one of the highest distinctions in the United Kingdom.
Beckham’s professional trip lasted some of the best clubs in the world, including Manchester United, Real Madrid, Galaxy, Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan. He hung up his boots in 2013.
Outside the field, Beckham was deeply involved in charity and philanthropic work. Since 2005, he has been Ambassador of UNICEF and, in 2015, the “David Beckham Unicef Fund” was created to celebrate ten years of partnership.
More recently, Beckham became ambassador of the King’s Foundation in 2024, working to promote the education of young people and awareness of the environment, the key initiatives of King Charles III.

Beckham was nominated for the first time for chivalry in 2011. However, the trip was not without controversy. In 2017, disclosed emails surfaced in several British newspapers, apparently showing Beckham critics on the specialization system and its decision-makers.
Beyond his sporting and charitable achievements, Beckham has also made an important contribution to the property and development of football.
He is partly owner of Salford City, which participates in the Two League of England, and occupies the roles of the president and co -owner at Inter Miami in the Major League Soccer.
Wayne Rooney, longtime teammate from Beckham in England, praised this decision, saying: “He is a great ambassador for football and the country.
“We all see the work of charity he has done for many years and I am sure he will continue to do so.
“Globally, it is a massive icon for any charity to work alongside and it makes everyone proud by collecting a lot of money over the years.
“You don’t arrive at its level in the world if you don’t work hard. He was persistent and continued to obtain the reward he deserved. ”
