Dashboard display problems cause a major Ford truck recall announcement

According to federal regulators, more than 355,000 Ford trucks that have been sold in the United States due to a problem with the dashboard display, according to federal regulators.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said that certain Ford 2025-2026 models, such as F-550 SD, F-450 SD, F-350 SD, F-25 SD and 2025 F-150, were included in the recall.

The display of the dashboard shows critical information for drivers, such as the speed counter, the tachometer, the car fuel gauge, the engine temperature gauge and the meter. If there is a problem with this panel, it generally means that something is wrong with how the car displays information such as speed, fuel level and navigation.

The dashboard cluster (IPC) in the recalled vehicles can be empty when the car is activated due to a computer error that occurs when the system tries to go into sleep mode.

“This condition can prevent telltales and security -related gauges, increasing the risk of an accident, as critical security information may not be displayed,” Ford Business told Fox.

Ford is aware of 95 guarantee complaints and a questionnaire on the owner of a vehicle (VOQ) linked to this concern, but is not aware of any accident or injury.

The regulator warned that the panel can fail after the engine starts. The software will be updated by a dealer or via a live update.

Ford told Fox Business that a live software update, which is more practical for customers compared to a person visit, will be available to approach the recall. The owners will be informed by mail to take their vehicle to an Ford or Lincoln dealer so that the IPC module software is updated for free or via the software to deactivate the memory protection function, free.
