Daniel Radcliffe returns to Broadway in “Every Brilliant Thing”

Tony winner Daniel Radcliffe will return to Broadway this spring in Duncan Macmillan and Jonny Donahoe’s Every shiny thing.

The one-woman play, which is currently making its West End debut following previous runs at the Edinburgh Fringe and Off-Broadway, will debut in previews on February 21, 2026 at Broadway’s Hudson Theater and opens on March 12. The broadcast will continue until May 24.

Directed by Olivier & Tony Award nominee Jeremy Herrin (People, Places and Things; Wolf Hall) and MacMillan, Every shiny thing revolves around a man who looks back on his life and the glimmers of hope that carried him through. All told through a list of all the wonderful, beautiful and delicious things – big, small and everything in between – that make life worth living.

Every shiny thing tackles a serious subject, but the overall experience is one of joy and celebration,” Macmillan said. “Each performance is unique and unpredictable and requires virtuoso skills from its central performer. When Daniel told us how much he loved the piece, I couldn’t have been more thrilled. He has the intelligence, quick wit and charm to get caught up in the spontaneous moments the show invites – he can be a clown one moment, then grab you by the heart the next. He has great depth and great humanity. I can’t wait to get started.

The one-man show has been performed around the world in more than 80 countries and for an HBO special featuring co-creator Donahoe.

Every shiny thing will feature the set and costume design of Olivier Award winner Vicki Mortimer. (Follies, Closer), Lighting design by Tony Award winner Jack Knowles (Boulevard du Coucher du Soleil) and Sound Design by Tony Award nominee Tom Gibbons (1984, Gray House). The casting is provided by Jessica Ronane CDG, the General Management is provided by TT Partners and the production management is provided. Jhanaë KC Bonnick. The production is presented in association with Paines Plow.

Second Half Productions, Seaview and Gavin Kalin Productions are producing.

Radcliffe recently wrapped up a record-breaking Stephen Sondheim run Merry we riderole for which he received a Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical as well as a Grammy nomination for Best Musical Theater Album.

THE Harry Potter alumnus made his Broadway debut in 2008 Equusfollowed by featured tours How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (2011), Inishmaan’s cripple (2014) and The lifespan of a fact and privacy (2018).

Radcliffe is best known for playing the titular wizard in the Harry Potter franchise films from Warner Bros. He was recently seen in Bizarre: the story of Al Yankovicwinning a Critics Choice Award and nominations for Best Actor Emmy Awards and BAFTA Awards. Previously he played in the fourth Miracle workers: the end of times series, the final season of the popular TBS comedy series, of which he also served as executive producer.

Radcliffe’s other screen credits include that of Paramount The lost city; Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs. the ReverendOscar-winning directors the Daniels Swiss army manand real prison escape feature Escape from Pretoria.
