Leeds had made a promising start to their return to the Premier League, but in recent weeks their form has dropped drastically, meaning they are starting to linger near the bottom of the table.

It’s just one win (2-1 against West Ham) in their last six Premier League matches for Leeds, and it means they are 16th in the table, just one point outside the relegation zone. This form has led to increased pressure on Daniel Farke, who is currently not in the good books of the Elland Road faithful.

There has been significant speculation over Farke’s future in recent weeks, and according to Mick Brown (via Football Insider), the writing could already be on the wall for the Leeds manager.

“It’s difficult to predict what Leeds will do. There was talk of him leaving in the summer, but that ultimately didn’t happen, they decided to stay with him instead.

“I think there are a few problems at Leeds, it’s not just the manager, but ultimately if they don’t get results it always comes down to the manager. It hasn’t been the worst start for them, they’re not in the relegation zone at the moment, but the teams below them have started to pick up points.

“Some of the decisions made by the coach have not gone down well with the fans, and many of them have started to turn against him and call for his dismissal. When that happens, it is difficult to come back, and if they continue to lose games after the international break, serious questions will arise.”

Leeds will need to return to form after the international break as it could lead to Farke losing his job.
