Dallas Cowboys Suffer Potentially Devastating Injury to DT in Week 7 Game

The Dallas Cowboys found life on defense in Week 7. While they still weren’t dominant, they at least made several key stops and forced several turnovers against the Washington Commanders.
Their second turnover of the night came when DaRon Bland recorded his first interception since 2023 and returned it for a 68-yard touchdown. The Commanders responded to this with a long touchdown run, but worse was the injury suffered on the scoring play.
Chris Rodriguez Jr. scored on a short touchdown run and Dallas defensive tackle Kenny Clark remained down.

Clark was able to slowly walk away, but was sent to the blue medical tent for evaluation.
It was Kenny Clark who was injured after this play. He slowly walked away and entered the blue injured tent.

It was later reported that it was an elbow injury for Clark and that his return was questionable.
If Dallas lost Clark for any length of time, it would be a devastating blow. Clark, who was added as part of the Micah Parsons trade, gave them some stability in the middle of their defense.
Easily their best defender, Clark makes it easier for everyone around him with the attention he demands. This is not the case for either of their backup nose tackles, Mazi Smith or Jay Toia.
