Dak Prescott Glad ‘Solution’ reached with Micah Parsons Trade

FRISCO, Texas – The Dallas Cowboys quarter -Arrière, Dak Prescott, did not think that Micah Parsons would be exchanged, but the move to Green Bay packers did not surprise it either.

“Just with the way the negotiations have dropped, obviously, I mean you were asking me questions, it seemed to have become personal on their side,” said Prescott.

Four days after Parsons was treated for the defensive platform Kenny Clark and the first round choices in 2026 and 2027, Prescott seemed happy that the event was finished after months of questions concerning the future of Parsons, including its availability for the opening of the season of Thursday against the Eagles of Philadelphia.

“I’m not going to say that we’re better. We have to go there and prove it. We had to prove it even if it was part of this team, so I’m not going to say that in any case,” said Prescott. “But I know what adds a guy like Kenny Clark, adding a real leader, a real man who will only raise this team, who was a pro Bowl player and who is delighted to be here [means].

“I know that our concentration at the moment is Philly. I think it is everyone’s concentration in this locker room. I don’t think anyone who hung up [the Parson trade]. As I said, there are enough news and enough media on this subject. I think everything that is good, it is good for a solution to happen. Obviously, Micah was paid. He was very well paid and great for him and his family. And we will see it here in about a month. “”

The cowboys will play the packers on September 28 at the AT&T stadium for the return of Parsons. Prescott said he shared messages with Parsons after trade. Without trade, Prescott feared distraction.

“It would have been much more headache and distraction than to obtain a solution,” said Prescott.

The defensive platform OSA Odightizu, which was close to Parsons, was elected captain for the first time on Sunday. He said he did not expect trade, but the accent must be put on the ground.

“The moment is something that does not allow you to dwell on all of this. This is what it is,” said Odighizuwa. “He’s my dog. A little sad that he left but at the same time, I am very happy for him, happy that he can remove his mother and do great things for his family. I always wish him the best, but at the same time, you had a match on Thursday, so you can focus on what is right in front of us.”

Trade was also a shock for the rival of the Dallas division. The offensive platform of the Eagles, Jordan Mailata, called it a “sigh of relief” knowing that Standons will not queue in front of him on Thursday.

“It’s just a little crazy,” he said. “Over the past four or five years, we have played Dallas Cowboys, we offered a match plan [for him] Because Micah is a game basket. … However, it is a talented d-line and a talented defense, so you must treat them with the same respect with or without Micah Parsons. “”

Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer addressed trade with the full team last Friday and Prescott did not feel the desire to say something else. He said that the practices have been good and that players are still playing ping-pong in the locker room.

“From what I got the feeling of the locker room, I don’t think there was a need for a conversation, or to lift guys for divorce, or to feel depressed about them, or about the situation,” said Prescott. “It’s a business and I think a lot of guys in this locker room know that I thought that to some extent.

“Hell, if something I hope it was an awakening to some of the guys, right? It’s for our life, and every day you come here and you are approaching as for your life. We are lucky to play a game to make a living.”
