Cubs activate LHP Shota Imanaga, DFA RHP Michael Fulmer

The Cubs of Chicago activated the left -hander Shota Iunaga from the injured list to start Thursday’s match against the Cardinals of St. Louis and opened a place by designating the right -hander Michael Fulmer for assignment.

IMANAGA, 31, has been released since May 4 with a strain of hamstrings. Before the injury, he granted two or less points in six of his eight departures.

It is 3-2 with an MPM of 2.82 this season and spent 18-5 with an MPM of 2.89 in 37 departures during the last two seasons with the Cubs, including a selection of stars in 2024.

Fulmer, 32, had two aimless appearances for the Cubs and has a combined MPM of 4.76 in three appearances with the Red Sox and Cubs of Boston. In 265 career games (90 departures) in eight seasons with four clubs, including the Cubs twice, Fulmer at 37-50 with an MPM of 3.95.
