CUBS 6TH 30/30 MLB CUBS CUBS CUBS Record this season

Chicago – Pete Crow -Armstrong was 23 years old, but Friday, the Speedy Cubs Center champion transformed a 30 -year record.
Crow-Armstrong hit his 30th circuit in the 12-1 victory in Chicago against the Cardinals of Saint-Louis, making him the first player in the history of the franchise to reach 30 circuits, to fly 30 bases and reach 30 doubles in a season and the sixth record player of the majors this season with 30 circuits and 30 interceptions.
The All-Star with left-handed blows joined Sammy Sosa as the second player of the Cubs to hit 30 circuits and steal 30 bases. Sosa did it in 1993 and 1995.
As a sixth player 30/30 this year, two more than the previous summit, he joined Corbin Carroll from Arizona, Jazz Chisholm Jr. from New York, Francisco Lindor and Juan Soto, and José Ramírez de Cleveland.
Crow-Armstrong, during his third major league season, still seemed to treat the feat after the victory.
“I think it just means that I have improved in recent years,” he said. “I think that is what I am selfishly proud of is, in my own development, to see a little progression every year that I played at the ball.
“I would just say a nice highlight of a few years and many others to come.”
Crow-Armstrong struck a high curve of Miles Mikolas at 396 feet in the stands of the center right for a shot of two points which gave Chicago an advance of 3-0 with two withdrawals in fourth.
The outfall also has 35 stolen bases and 37 doubles. But his journey on Friday was only his second circuit in his last 29 games and third of his last 55.
Crow-Armstrong fell to marble in the second half, even if his defensive game sparkled. Its average stick was 0.273 on August 1 but slipped to 0.245.
“It was a story of two halves, for sure,” said Crow-Armstrong. “But yes, it is to be able to go home and be honest with myself and analyze how was the second half.”
Chicago’s second victory in eight games reduced his magic number to win the Wild Card from the National League – and an advantage on the field – on San Diego. The teams will meet in the opening lathe from Tuesday.
“Whatever the statistics, I just want to go and play the baseball of the playoffs at this stage,” said Crow-Armstrong. “”[Rather] What to talk about honestly other things, I just want to win more ball games. “”
But 30 is a large number. Even for the fan who brought back the Home Run balloon from Crow-Armstrong in exchange for a meeting in person outside the clubhouse and a souvenir cache.
“The guy who got him was his first Cub game,” he said as 30 years, “said Crow-Armstrong. “So it was good.”
