Crystal Palace join race to sign in-form man Ansu Fati

After several stop-start seasons marred by injuries and inconsistency, Ansu Fati is suddenly back on the radar of Premier League clubs.

The on-loan Monaco striker has come out of the blocks in Ligue 1, reminding everyone why he was once touted as Lionel Messi’s heir at Barcelona.

According to Fichajes, Crystal Palace, Everton and Newcastle United are among the English teams monitoring his resurgence and considering a move if his form holds up.

For Fati, whose 2023 loan spell at Brighton never really took off, the coming months could open the door to a genuine second chance in England.

Ansu Fati shines for AS Monaco this season

Fati’s renaissance owes a lot to Monaco’s measured management. Adi Hütter began the campaign by integrating the Spaniard slowly, prioritizing conditioning and confidence over instant impact.

The plan largely bore fruit. With each outing, Fati has looked more precise in his movements, more decisive in one-on-one situations and more confident in the burst that once made him such a terror in La Liga.

The big numbers are eye-catching, five goals in three Ligue 1 matches, resulting in a goal every 32 minutes based on his limited playing time at the start of the match.

This form naturally aroused interest. Crystal Palace are continually looking for direct, goal-scoring players to complement their pace on the break, Everton need end products from wide areas to ease the load on their centre-forwards, and Newcastle United, competing on multiple fronts, are attracted by the benefit of adding an explosive, high-ceilinged striker.

If Palace, Everton or Newcastle confirm their interest, the Premier League could offer the Spaniard another chance to prove himself in England.

Fati can play in different positions in attack and Palace are particularly looking for this type of player.

The player has now regained his confidence and has put his fitness issues behind him.

With competition intense, it remains to be seen which club will be able to attract Fati with his ambition and future plans.
