Cris Collinsworth was thrilled with Mike Tirico’s ‘Dicker Doinker’ call

The Chargers-Steelers bow Sunday Night Football Week 10 didn’t feature a wide range of highlights. Instead, fans were treated to Aaron Rodgers’ struggles and some poor officiating. There were two very long field goals, but the real kicking highlight came late in the third quarter when Los Angeles kicker Cameron Dicker hit the upright from 55 yards out.
That prompted a funny call from NBC’s Mike Tirico and an equally pleasant reaction from Cris Collinsworth.
“55… Dicker… Doinker,” Tirico said as the ball went off the goal post.
Collinsworth, who was already laughing at the sound of the doink, absolutely loved it. “A Dicker doinker,” Collinsworth said while continuing to laugh for another 10 seconds. Tirico ultimately insisted he wasn’t ‘sitting on it’

This is why Tirico and Collinsworth receive large sums of money. What other stand can get so much joy out of something so simple?
That’s why you hang out and watch bad football, folks. Next March, you’ll be asking Aaron Rodgers and Justin Herbert to combine for less than 400 passing yards while they get sacked eight times in a drama-free game.
