Having ended their interest in Bryan Mbeumo, who has the heart to move to Man United, Newcastle turned their interest to Elaga. They submitted their opening offer, Worth in the region of 45 million pounds sterling last week, but he was quickly rejected by Nottingham Forest, who does not want to sell the 23 -year -old man.

But this rejection has not dissuaded Newcastle. New discussions have taken place in recent days, and soon, another offer will be submitted.

As Football Insider reported, Newcastle is preparing to make an improved offer for Elaga, which Eddie Howe is desperate to add to her team for the 2025-26 season and beyond.

While Forest said they didn’t want to sell Elaga, they think they could accept an offer in the region of 60 million pounds sterling. Newcastle will approach this amount with its next offer, although it is more likely to be in the region of 50 to 55 million pounds Sterling.

Elaga would be an excellent addition to Howe’s Squad, had improved considerably since he joined Forest two years ago. He would be very interested in the move, especially since he would play in the Champions League next season.

Elanga’s possible arrival could also help Newcastle keep the services of Alexander Isak. The couple, who are international teammates, would be very close, which could be another incentive for the Magpies to conclude an agreement with the forest.
