Cowboys Pro Bowl Pass Rusher Micah Parsons requires trade after Stall contractual negotiations

Dallas Cowboys Star Micah Parsons’ defensive winger wrote on social networks that he had officially submitted a commercial request to the team co-owner, Executive Vice-President, Manager and Director of Player Staff, Stephen Jones. The announcement occurred after the cowboys and Parsons had an impasse concerning a contract extension for the quadruple bowler pro.

“Yes, I wanted to be here. I did everything I could to show that I wanted to be a cowboy and wear the star of my helmet,” wrote Parsons. “I wanted to play in front of the best fans of sport and make this American team again. The my pops team and I grew up applauding for Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. ”

“Unfortunately, I don’t want to be here anymore,” he continued. “I no longer want to be held in negotiations at the close door without my agent.

Parsons described how contractual negotiations played with cowboys. Although he was previously “remained silent” to conclude an agreement, he said he wanted to “clarify certain things”.

“I asked my agent to reach out to the cowboys out of season after my third year in the hope of concluding an agreement early,” he said. “Unfortunately, the team did not want to start negotiations at that time. I agreed with that, I did not complain and I focused on the 2024 season.”

Parsons said his agent advised him to wait for other contract extensions to be announced because it would increase the price of his agreement. However, he expressed that he “realized” because he wanted to secure himself “long-term cowboy”.

“I knew I would leave money on the table, but again, I agree with that,” he wrote. “Again, radio silence regarding my extension.”

Parsons then declared that he had spoken with Stephen Jones in March 2025, where the conversation went in a way to an extension of contract. Although Parsons “was engaged in back and forth”, he said that he “did not believe that it was supposed to be an official negotiation”.

“But when my agent stood hand and spoke to Adam (Prasifka), he was told that the agreement was already done,” he wrote. “My agent, of course, told him that was not the case and also contacted Stephen Jones. Again, the team decided to be silent.”

Parsons said he and his agent had decided that they would wait for the cowboys to contact them, but they were never contacted. He added that the team had participated in zero conversations with the parson agent.

“No request was made by my agent on money, the years or anything else. However, I remained silent,” he concluded. “But again, after repeated shots to myself and all the stories, I made the difficult decision that I no longer want to play for Dallas Cowboys. My trade request was submitted to Stephen Jones personally.”

According to sources that have spoken to the Dianna Russini of athletics, the cowboys do not intend to exchange Parsons. However, “the teams around the league plan to reach out to check its availability today”.

Since its writing in 2021, Micah Parsons has been appointed to four pro-bols and has appointed an All-Pro three times. His 52.5 bags are the fifth largest number of the NFL since he entered the league in 2021, behind Myles Garrett, TJ Watt, Trey Hendrickson and Nick Bosa.
