Three tornadoes confirmed in Michigan

Battle Creek, Michigan – The National Weather Service (NWS) confirmed that three tornadoes were attracted to Michigan on Thursday evening.
An EF-0 tornado approached the counties of Kalamazoo and Calhoun on Thursday evening, according to the NWS.
This tornado, which would have had a wind speed up to 80 mph, went east of Galesburg to Battle Creek, officials said.
The NWS said that another EF-0 tornado had hit Lake St. Mary near Battle Creek.
An EF-1 tornado would have attracted the north of Charlotte and traveled east towards Lansing, according to the NWS.
For the future, the National Weather Service Survey teams should question storm damage in the following counties from Friday and throughout the weekend:
- Algan
- Barry
- Calhoun
- Eaton
- Ingham
- Ionie
- Kalamazoo
- Kent
However, their surveys can not only be limited to these areas.
Other storms are expected to move to western Michigan on Friday evening, although a rehearsal of Thursday storms is probably not likely, according to News Channel 3 meteorologists.
