“I can’t let the past shoot you down.” 🇮🇪 Wildcard Distribution unveiled the Irish official trailer for an independent film titled Christymarking the beginnings of director of the Irish filmmaker Brendan Canty – Who seems to be a very talented filmmaker. This was initially presented at the Berlin Film Festival 2025 earlier this year, and he will then play the Karlovy Vary Film Festival and the film Galway Fleadh. Two separate brothers with a checked childhood in the care system suddenly find themselves living under the same roof in Cork. They must now be reconciled with their past and make decisions about the future. “Bright of humor, soul and raw authenticity”, the film features talents Danny Power And Diarmuides drowningAlongside a brilliant Irish whole comprising Emma Willis,, Alison Oliver,, Chris WalleyAnd Helen Behan. The film also presents members of the Kabin studio in Cork, the arts collective behind the song “The Spark” Heard in this trailer. Christy, 17 (with Daniel Power), is at the crossroads. Launched from his suburban reception center, he moved with his older brother separated Shane (Diarmuid Noyes) and his young family.
