Costco, one of the largest retailers in America, published a recall for his prosecco Valdobbiadene of Kirkland signature after the retailer warned that some 750 milliliters of bottles can “break spontaneously”.
The recall covers the bottles sold in Costco locations in several Midwest states between April 25 and August 26, 2025 and applies to the number of article 1879870. The retailer offers complete reimbursements to members who present the reminder notice sent by the company.

What to know
The recall, published in September, covers the stores of Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, Nebraska, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin.
Consumers are advised not to open affected bottles and not to return them to Costco warehouses. Instead, the reminder notice advises consumers to wrap unprecedented bottles in paper towels and place them in a plastic bag before having “avoid the risks of broken glass”.
Costco apologized for “any inconvenience caused”.
The signing of Kirkland de Costco is the exclusive brand of a private brand exclusive to the warehouse retailer, introduced in 1995. Appointed according to the former headquarters of the company in Kirkland, Washington, the brand extends over hundreds of product categories, including grocery store, household items, clothing and wine.
Kirkland Signature is designed to provide high quality products at lower prices than national brands, often manufactured by well -known producers under the Costco label.
