Superman First Reviews promised a padded restart which finally is directly by the steel man
Social media reactions for Superman Paint the film DC Studios in a positive light. This was a relief for DC fans who experienced a fairly difficult moment between the stockings of the DCEU and an overwhelming disappointment from last year Joker: Folia with two.
The brief verdicts shared on X rarely tell the whole story, especially because many people sharing their catch do not end up reviewing the films in question for their respective points of sale.
Well, criticisms have now weighed, and although there are more positive criticisms than negative criticism, they seem somewhat mixed. Despite this, even those who found James Gunn’s fault on the steel man seem to have had a good time, which probably means that their verdicts will fall into the “fresh” category.

So we have established that Superman is stuffed, but beyond that, IGN declares, “Superman is a wonderfully entertaining and sincere cinematic reset for the steel man, and an excellent start for the DCU on the big screen.” The IO9 review ends with enthusiasm with, “This film Superman feels like a big problem and also an airy and popcorn blockbuster. It’s a delight.”
Entertainment Weekly was not as high on the restart, noting, “With a casting this excellent, there is an ability for something really great in a future film – if only Gunn chooses to put the first humanity of humanity of the characters.”
