FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WTVD) — The lockdown has been lifted as Fayetteville State University (FSU). The reason why the lockdown was put in place has not been revealed.
Although the reason for the lockdown has not been made public, the university is one of several historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) that have been the target of bomb threats across the country as recently as last month.
On September 11, FSU, along with Alabama State University, Virginia State University, Hampton University in Virginia, University of the South in Louisiana, and Clark Atlanta University in Georgia, were placed on lockdown for “terrorist threats.”
