LSU, Coastal Carolina brings curriculum vitae “ worthy ” in title series

LSU is looking for its second national championship of Men’s College World Series in three years and its eighth in the general classification.
Coastal Carolina seeks to extend her sequence with 26 consecutive victories and win her second MCWS title.
The Seed Tigers n ° 6 (51-15) and the Chanticers of seeds n ° 13 (56-11) are heavy goods vehicles which will open their series of championships of three best of its three Saturday evening in Omaha, Neb.
“Two worthy opponents in the College World Series,” said LSU coach on Friday, adding that Coastal Carolina is “probably the best team we have played this year”.
“It will make excellent baseball,” said Johnson. “I think that if you are at this stage of the NCAA tournament, you have been tested in combat. I do not believe that there is something we have seen. What I mean by that is a high -level pitch, high -level enclosures, a high level defense, offenses with speed, power, skills in strikes, knowing how to play the game, move the offense.”
The two teams swept three games to win their supports and left since Wednesday. But Johnson has more flexibility with his starting throw than the coast of the Coast of Caroline, Kevin Schnall, while the series begins.
On Friday, Johnson would not name his launcher leaving for match 1, but his two best starters are available. The left-hander of AS Kade Anderson has not launched since last Saturday when he launched seven rounds in a 4-1 victory against Arkansas.
The first year right-hander, Anthony Eyanson, launched only 44 throws on Monday evening before the rain caused the suspension of a 9-5 victory against the UCLA, which was completed on Tuesday. Johnson used four launchers but did not need Anderson or Eyanson in a 6-5 victory against Arkansas on Wednesday evening.
Schnall said that he will start right-handed Cameron Flukey, who launched four raises in relief, granting two strokes and two points, during the 7-4 opening victory from Coastal Carolina against Arizona on June 13.
Riley Eikhoff (7-2) started the opener, launching 45 throws, started and launched 98 throws in an 11-3 victory against Louisville on Wednesday.
“We have extreme confidence in everything we do on both sides of the ball,” said Caden Bodine, the Chanticers receiver. “I think in the end, we take care of business on our side and really respect the opponent. But honestly, playing coastal base is the way of winning.”
Bodine described “Coastal Baseball” like “playing a short game, playing quality bats, throwing competitive strikes and just having a timely strike”.
Chanticles have not lost in their two appearances in the MCWS. They swept a super regional at LSU on the way to an undefeated race in the 2016 MCWS.
