AC Milan would now be in talks to sign the left back of Arsenal Oleksandr Zinchenko, according to Alfredo Pedulla of Italia football.
Ukraine International, estimated at around 20 million euros per TransferMarkt, is becoming a target higher than Milan while they are preparing to lose Theo Hernandez this summer.
The Italia football report explains that Milan is in talks with Arsenal concerning Zinchenko, while Hernandez could be on the way to Atletico Madrid.
The Frenchman previously refused the Saudi giants of the Saudi Pro League Al Hilal, but it now seems that he could have come out of Milan anyway if a move to Madrid is trying.
This could now mean that we are heading for a big start from Arsenal in this window.
The probable release of Oleksandr Zinchenko Arsenal makes sense after a difficult season
Zinchenko shone when he moved to the Emirates stadium in Manchester City in the summer of 2022.
The 28 -year -old settled quickly and helped Arsenal very closely challenge the city for the title of the Premier League this season.
However, after playing 27 league games in each of his first two seasons with the Gunners, he only appeared 23 times in all the 2024/25 campaign competitions.
Arsenal signed Riccardo Calafiori in this position last summer, while the young premises Myles Lewis-Skelly is now also a regular on the team of Mikel Arteta.
Can Zinchenko rekindle his career in Milan?
Since his day, Zinchenko has been a superb player with a great technical capacity and a beautiful range of passes when he reversed in the midfield.
Arteta may have ended up dropping it because of its defensive shortcomings, however, its style of play perhaps leaving the team a little exposed sometimes.
We imagine, however, that Zinchenko could do better in a weaker league where the rhythm of the game is a little slower.
A number of Premier League flops have relaunched their careers in Italy, with former Chelsea players such as Christian Pulisic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Fikayo Tomori all in books as key players from Milan.
