The meeting of the Crystal Palace conference league with the Ukrainian side of Dynamo kyiv takes place in Poland due to the invasion of Ukraine by Russia.
Palace made its debut entirely in a European competition Thursday evening, but the match will take place at the Motor Lublin Arena in Lublin, Poland.
Since the start of the conflict in February 2022, Ukrainian clubs have played their home matches in Europe in Poland, Slovakia, Sweden, Germany, Romania, the Czech Republic and Slovenia.
The Ukraine national team has also played international games at home in Germany and Turkey in recent years.
The three home games of Dynamo Kyiv at the conference league this season all take place in Lublin, while the Ukrainian compatriots Shakhtar Donetsk play in Krakow, Poland.
High -end Ukrainian matches continue to be played in their country of origin, although the average frequentations represent about half of the level they were before the coronavirus pandemic and the invasion of Russia.
Far from the sport, the United Kingdom organized the Eurovision Chanson 2023 competition at the Liverpool Arena on behalf of Ukraine, which had won the 2022 edition.
