Commanders WR Terry McLaurin (quad), Deebo Samuel (heel) will play against the Chiefs
Commanders wide receivers Terry McLaurin (quad) and Deebo Samuel (heel) are expected to play in Monday night’s road game against the Kansas City Chiefs, head coach Dan Quinn announced Saturday.
“They both run every route in the system, but just being there and knowing how they can play, it’s definitely a big deal,” Quinn said of the returns of McLaurin and Samuel. “It also affects other parts of the offense and running game and other things that go with it. So the matchups, yeah, I’m excited to get those guys back in the mix and they are excited too because to miss and not be there, it’s tough. And so, they’re excited.”
The WR duo hasn’t played together since Week 3, the first game in which Mariota started in place of the Commanders’ star quarterback while dealing with a knee injury earlier this season. Daniels was ruled out for Week 8 due to a hamstring injury he suffered in last Sunday’s loss to the Cowboys, while neither McLaurin nor Samuel will be named for their next game.
