Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels leaves with left arm injury against Seahawks

Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels left the home game against the Seattle Seahawks in the fourth quarter with a left arm injury Sunday night.
On second-and-goal from the 2 with 7:39 left in regulation, Daniels was sacked by Drake Thomas for a 2-yard loss and appeared to suffer a broken left arm, possibly his elbow. The training staff immobilized the arm and Daniels was able to leave the field.
Daniels completed 16 of 22 passes for 153 yards and an interception in his return after missing a game with a hamstring injury. He also rushed 10 times for 51 yards, including a 1-yard touchdown run late in the second quarter.
After an official timeout due to the injury, the Commanders scored on the next play when Chris Rodriguez ran 4 yards for a touchdown, but the Seahawks still led 38-14.
Daniels, 24, missed Washington’s 28-7 loss Monday night to the Kansas City Chiefs because of a strained right hamstring.
The second-year quarterback suffered the injury in the third quarter of a 44-22 road loss to the Dallas Cowboys on October 19. He also missed two games earlier this season with a sprained knee suffered in a 27-18 Week 2 loss to the Green Bay Packers.
The 2024 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, Daniels entered Sunday having thrown for 1,031 yards, eight touchdowns and one interception in five games (all starts) this season with 211 rushing yards and one rushing score.
