The Irish actor nominated at the Oscars, Colin Farrell, will be honored with the Golden Icon Award of the Zurich Film Festival during his next edition, from September 25 to October 5.
The price recognizes the performance of the actor in the psychological thriller of Edward Berger Ballad of a little player as well as his global career.
Farrell will receive the prize on September 27 before a first of Gala for the next film, which will also be assisted by the Swiss director and winner of Oscar Berger. The next day, Farrell will give a masterclass on her career.

Ballad of a little player marks the third consecutive film by Berger to be presented to Zurich following Quiet on the western front And Conclave. Berger also received the prestigious tribute to the… Award during the 2024 edition of the festival.
His new film is adapted from the 2014 novel by Lawrence Osborne and takes place in Macao. He tells the story of a player with high issues whose debts and debts are starting to catch him, but while giving Macao, he meets a family spirit that could well hold the key to his salvation.
