Aston Villa had a frustrating summer due to a lack of signatures, although it is still time for new additions to the squad of Unai Emery. A new striker is on the agenda, and they are aimed at Nicolas Jackson.

Jackson has a good relationship with the manager of Aston Villa Emery, which he worked in Villarreal. And according to Pete O’Rourke (via football insider), the Midlands Club thinks that it could give them the advantage in the race to sign the 24 -year -old, who recorded 10 goals and five assists in the Premier League last season.
“There will be a number of clubs by watching Nicolas Jackson in the last days of the transfer window. He is as a service in Chelsea, well in the hierarchical order, they gave him the green light to go, and there are obvious links between Jackson and Unai Emery.
“Emery gave him his debut in Liga in Villarreal, the two both have a good relationship, and Emery hopes that this will give his team the advantage when they follow their interest in Jackson. This is an agreement on which they work and an agreement is a strong possibility. The villas are in pole position.”
It will be very interesting to see where Jackson finds himself closing the summer transfer window. Aston Villa is up there, although there is still one way to go before an agreement was concluded with Chelsea.
