CLAYFACE Star Tom Rhys Harries Announces End of Filming With BTS Photo With Creepy Messages

One of DC Studios’ most intriguing projects is clay face. Described as a “complete horror film” by James Gunn and being a super-villain origin story, clay face stands out among DC Studios’ upcoming slate, which includes hero-focused projects like Supergirl, Lanterns And The man of tomorrow. The actor captioned his story with “CF IMAGE WRAP.” Although the image seems quite simple, it actually contains many interesting details.

Upon closer inspection, the piece features some enigmatic (and downright frightening) writing. A message written in the upper right corner of the wall reads: “I want in one hand, shit in the other. See which one is full first.” This is a variation of the expression which basically says: “A wish in one hand, a shit in the other. See which one gets fulfilled first”, which is used to designate goals deemed impossible to achieve. The saying can also refer to the futility of dreams and wishes.

On the desk at the bottom of the image, written in red, is: “Go where the chalk white…” The phrase comes from a line in “Where the Sidewalk Ends,” a children’s poem by writer and composer Shel Silverstein. The verse says: “Yes, we will walk with measured and slow steps, and we will go where the white arrows go.”

Finally, there is a sentence written in black on the mirror, which, from what I could gather, partially reads: “The children’s part–” However, this writing is particularly difficult to decipher and may therefore be inaccurate.

The sentences, although very different from each other, could give us some insight into Clayface’s state of mind. The saying “I want in one hand”, for example, may allude to the character’s desperate outlook on life. The idea of ​​Clayface battling depression makes sense, given the various misfortunes he’s supposed to face throughout the story, as detailed in a plot description provided by the Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision newsletter (via CBR): “clay face is a Hollywood horror story, using the most popular incarnation of the villain – a B-movie actor who injects himself with a substance to stay relevant, only to discover that he can reshape his face and shape, becoming a walking lump of clay. »

Additionally, “Where the Sidewalk Ends” may hint at a more childish or innocent side of the shapeshifting villain. Other relevant elements of the publication are the various photographs and images that appear within it. On the mirror there is a happy face, a black and white photo of an unknown muscular man and a newspaper clipping that says: “Cock a Doodle, do it!” There is another black and white image on the mirror which, although difficult to make out in detail, appears to depict a human-shaped body, but with a seemingly disfigured head – perhaps a reference to Clayface’s condition.

Then, hanging on the right wall, there are five pictures. One is a black and white photo of a man in a long coat crossing a street, and another is a black and white BTS photo of a film crew. There is also a photo of a vintage red Ross 70 bicycle and a drawing of a person with a paper bag covering their head. Finally, next to the drawing is an image of three men plunged into darkness, dimly lit by red outlines. The font also gives the messages a spooky vibe, which suits clay faceits horror tendencies.
