Clayface Set Photos first reveals the look at Tom Rhys Harries like the bloody and distorted (?) Matt Hagen

More photos of the whole of Clay I just landed, giving us a first overview of Tom Rhys Harries as the head of the film, Matt Hagen. As suspected, he was the one who was extended to the hospital, probably after the attack which will leave him disfigured.

The consequences are revealed here because the photo shows its face covered with blood and clearly more than worse for wear. It was after this beat (which would occur after a race with a few gangsters from Gotham City) that Hagen is looking for the formula that transforms it into a monstrous clay.

In the comics, Hagen was the second Clayface and an adventurer who turned into a monster after having met a radioactive protoplasm pool.

Which was changed in Batman: the animated seriesWhere he was described as an actor who used an anti-aging cream to appear younger. After arriving on the wrong side of its creator, Roland Daggett, Hagen was sprayed in a tank tank and became the “classic” clay surface that we all know of comics.

We hear that Ray Donovan Star Eddie Marsan (who was spotted on the set earlier during the day) plays her manager, which means that DC Studios is inspired by the animated interpretation of Batman’s villain.

“Well, I think it was just that we needed DCU content,” The CO-PDG of DC Studios, James Gunn, recently explained why Clayface was added to the slate “Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters”. “Mike Flanagan is someone with whom I have been friendly for a long time, and he wrote me on Clayface. He sent me a text on this subject very early in my DC trip.”

“As honest, I didn’t think it was something that was going to happen, but he entered and he presented the idea and I said to myself,” Oh S —! It’s cool. “It’s a horror film of the body,” THE Superman Director revealed. “It is a horror film which, like any cool horror film, happens to be in the DCU. And then he wrote the script, and the script was fantastic. We did not plan to make Clayface.”

Asked if this clay face is the same as Rick Flag Sr. and Eric Frankenstein met – and apparently killed – in Creature commandosGunn teasing, “I think everyone will discover it.”

Since it is a horror film of the body, it is possible that the surface with which we spend time will not necessarily be a “villain” which comes up against Dark Knight of Gotham City.

Clay is currently planned in theaters on September 11, 2026.
