City officials warn of road closures for Army vs. Navy game at M&T Bank Stadium

BALTIMORE (WBFF) — The Baltimore City Department of Transportation (BDCOT) is warning drivers of temporary road and lane closures that will go into effect for Saturday’s Army vs. Navy football game at M&T Bank Stadium.
The match will kick off at 3 p.m. on December 13.

The following road and lane closures will come into effect on Saturday from 12 p.m.:
- Northbound Russell Service Drive, adjacent to M&T Bank Stadium, will be closed between West and Hamburg streets before and during the game.
- The Hamburg Street Bridge will be temporarily closed between Leaden Hall and Paca Streets for entry to games. Once play begins, shutdowns will be lifted until the start of the fourth quarter for release.
- The Ostend Street Bridge will be temporarily closed between Sharp and Warner Streets for entry to games. Once play begins, shutdowns will be lifted until the start of the fourth quarter for release.
- A special traffic pattern will be temporarily installed along Warner Street, between the Ostend Street Bridge and Stockholm Street, for entry and level crossings.
- Special traffic patterns will be installed along Warner Street, Alluvion Street, Worcester Street and Bayard Street for exit early in the fourth quarter.
- Closure of Hamburg Street between Hanover and Charles streets for egress early in the fourth quarter.
- No southbound travel will be permitted along Hanover Street, between Henrietta and Hamburg streets, at the start of the fourth quarter. All traffic will be diverted onto Henrietta Street for east or westbound travel.
Football fans should be advised that all posted parking restrictions and residential permit parking restrictions near M&T Bank Stadium will be strictly enforced. Fans traveling to the stadium should park in commercial parking lots and avoid local neighborhoods.
People who do not have a parking permit for any of the stadium lots are strongly encouraged to use public transportation, including the Charm City Circulator, according to BCDOT.

High traffic volumes are expected in downtown Baltimore on Saturday for this football game. Transportation enforcement officers will be deployed to assist with traffic. Drivers traveling near the stadium should be aware of heavy pedestrian and vehicle traffic, as well as possible traffic changes before and during the game.
