CAA SIGN ADAM MCKAY

The CAA has signed Adam McKay, winner of Oscar and its hyperobject industries, for a representation in many areas.
The director of a veteran comedy and, more recently, the editor and producer of prestigious bait is behind “Vice”, “The Big Short” and “Don’t Look Up”. McKay will continue to be represented by lawyer Matt Johnson in Jssk.
Exactly a decade ago, “The Big Short” introduced a new dimension to McKay – the director of beloved classics, like “Step Brothers”, “Anchorman” and “The Other Guys”. The script, an explanation at the eyes of the collapse of the 2008 housing market, inscribed McKay an Oscars and a Bafta in addition to the appointments of the best director of Ampas, Bafta and Golden Globes. His “vice” follow -up, an inventive biopic by Dick Cheney led by Christian Bale, was nominated for eight Oscars.
McKay’s next list includes a writer from the writer-director Tommy Wirkola, with Phoebe Dynevor, Whitney Peak and Djimon Hounsou. He also joined Bong Joon Ho on a limited series inspired by the best winner of this last “parasite”. McKay will also produce the documentary functioning “Stormbound” for IMAX, who follows the bad weather for Florida Jeff Gammons in the dangerous world of the hunting storm during the storm season in the United States.
Hyperobject is at the origin of some of the success of the most buzzing cinema and television of recent memory, notably “The Menu”, “Booksmart”, “Dead to Me” and “Hustlers”. The label is managed by McKay and Kevin Messick, with producers Todd Schulman, Betsy Koch and Maeve Cullinane. In May 2023, McKay founded Yellow Dot Studios with the director general Staci Roberts-Steele. The group is a non -profit media organization calling into question the disinformation of the climate crisis by comedy.
