The 32nd edition of the Dockest Sheffield ended in England.
On Sunday, Welded, director Anastasiya Miroshnichenko won the festival’s great jury prize for international competition during the closing gala at the crucible Playhouse in Sheffield.
The festival jury called the selection “a portrait of resilience and strength – both of the main character and a community that is united. The film highlights the contrast between the generosity of the people and the harsh realities of alcoholism in Belarus society.
At the start of June 18, the festival welcomed 51 first worlds from 68 countries of production. In partnership with Showroom Cinema, the Docpnights screening program will continue all year round.
