Chris Eubank Jr should retire rather than prosecute Conor Benn Return, says former world champion George Groves | Boxing news

Chris Eubank Jr has an agreement in place for a potential revenge match with Conor Benn, but he was invited to consider other options.
Eubank Jr beat Benn in a total fight at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last Saturday.
In the aftermath of this competition, Benn insisted that he wanted “revenge” even if he could still return to Welterweight to continue his title ambitions.
But George Groves, the former world champion and Sky Sports Boxing Pundit, believes that Eubank Jr should retire rather than fight.
Groves defeated Eubank and fought it in a high-level world title with a super-guy weight.
He advised his former opponent to take a second fight with Benn.
“No, I don’t think of a revenge match. No revenge. They had the fight. It was as big as it could have been,” said Groves Sky Sports. “I think Eubank should retire.”
Groves explained: “EUBANK won the victory. But I think he went directly to the hospital and only returned home on Monday morning. I think he should leave his career there. I think Eubank should retire.
“His best days went well. But he spent a massive night. He had a great day of pay. He had a moment with his father. He scratched this itching. Maybe if he had never had Benn’s fight, it would always be” and if I had Benn’s “”, added Groves.
“There are no other fights for him who will approach it. I do not have the revenge match. Therefore, I think he should retire.”
