Chris Eubank Jr brings a Crawford Terence Coach for Conor Benn Reatch | Boxing news

Chris Eubank Jr revealed that he will have a new coach for his revenge match with Conor Benn, bringing Terence Crawford coach Brian McIntyre, in his corner for the fight of November 15.
McIntyre was the longtime coach of the Pound for Pound Crawford superstar. He directed Crawford towards undisputed triumphs in three different weight categories, unprecedented in male sport in the era with four-ceremonies.
More recently, Crawford and McIntyre have produced an astonishing victory over Canelo Alvarez at Super-Middleweight, three divisions higher than the Crawford natural weight category.
Eubank has already worked with “Bomac” McIntyre. McIntyre trained him for his best career victory when he reversed his defeat against Liam Smith to win their revenge match in 2023.
McIntyre was arrested at Manchester airport after this fight after security officials found a weapon in a suitcase when he registered. McIntyre admitted the illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition. After hearing a number of witnesses of character, a judge imposed a 20 -month prison sentence, suspended from two years.
On Wednesday, at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, McIntyre sat with Eubank at the press conference to announce his revenge match.
“The performance that Terence put against Canelo the other day was exceptional,” said Eubank, congratulating the coach.
McIntyre reflected: “When he called, it was obvious. I am just happy to be here, to be part of a historical fight.
“I think it’s going to be a little easier this time. For the simple fact, he has already obtained his number.
“They will discover it.”
“I am flattered that you have brought a new coach,” Benn told Eubank. “Because you know you’re going to need it.”
Benn, who wore a Manchester City shirt to commemorate Ricky Hatton, insisted that he has improved the first fight. “It taught me a lot, it taught me a lot about me,” he said. “I take off my hat.
“Did I underestimate it?” He added: “I did it. I really thought I would make him knock in three or four laps.
“He gave me a hell of combat and it was a hell of combat.”
Conor’s legendary father, Nigel Benn, added the first fight: “For me, it was Conor at his worst.
“I’m glad he made 12 laps with an average weight.
“We will see the real conor,” he continued. “Do not rush with punches, do your best. It was not the real conor.
“You have lost now that you have to go and put the records on the right.”
Eubank, however, maintained: “I am a better fighter than him. I am the best fighter, more experienced and more devoted.”
