Chris Brown in detention until June after arrest in the United Kingdom

The singer Chris Brown is in detention after being arrested on Thursday and accused of serious bodily lesions of intent as an alleged incident in London in 2023, according to metropolitan police.

Metropolitan police said in a statement that the singer had been charged “following an investigation by detectives”, and that the accusation “relates to an assault, which would have taken place in a place to Hanover Square in London” February 19, 2023.

Brown, 36, was signified in the arrest warrant in Manchester, England, for an allegation of assault and appeared before the court on May 16, where he was sentenced by a Manchester judge until his appearance in court on June 13.

Brown is expected to launch its world tour of Breezy Bowl XX in the Netherlands on June 8, according to an article on April 23 on its Instagram page.

It should occur throughout Europe and the United Kingdom – including several performances in Manchester and London – before starting the American leg on Miami on July 30.

The singer and dancer has experienced several entries with the police over the years.

In 2009, Brown pleaded guilty to the criminal assault of his girlfriend at the time, Rihanna. Brown was sentenced to rehabilitation but was expelled from a rehabilitation center, then spent more than two months in a Los Angeles County prison before his release in June 2014, according to reports by the Associated Press. His period of probation in this case lasted until 2015.

ABC News contacted Brown representatives to comment.
