Blue Jays Complete Sweep of Yankees, take control of the East

George Springer struck two circuits and four products produced and the Toronto Blue Jays beat the New York Yankees on a visit 8-5 Thursday evening to finish a balayage of four games.

Springer had four circuits in the series while Toronto moved first in the American League East, a match ahead of the Yankees.

Addison Barger added three strokes with a circuit and two products produced and Nathan Lukes managed three strokes and two products.

Trent Grisham hit a solo circuit for Yankees. Jasson Dominguez added four sure.

Toronto marked once during the first against Clarke Schmidt. Springer is walked and returned home on Barger’s double.
