Chetehwar Pujara withdraws from all forms of cricket

The cricket player of the veteran team of India Chetehwar Pujara on Sunday August 24, announced his retirement from all the Indian cricket formats. The right -handed striker went to his social media account X (formerly known as Twitter) to share the news with the fans.

Chetehwar Pujara was the backbone of the Test of India’s testing. He played for the last time for India in the final of the World World Championship 2023. Pujara scored 7,195 points in 176 sleeves with an average of 43.60, including 19 centuries and 35 half-century. The veteran cricket player only played five ODI games throughout his career.

Chetehwar Pujara said he had done his best on the ground playing for India. He expressed his gratitude to fans for their unshakable support and added that the time had come to end his career in Indian cricket.

“Wearing the Indian jersey, singing the anthem and doing my best every time I walked on the ground – it is impossible to put in words what it really meant,” Pujara wrote.

“But as they say, all the good things must end, and with immense gratitude, I decided to retire from all the forms of Indian cricket. Thank you for all love and support! 🙏”, he added.

Pujara thanked the BCCI and the Sarashtra Cricket Association for having supported his trip to sport. He added that he was indebted for the advice of mentors, coaches and his spiritual guru.

“I would like to thank the BCCI and the Sarashtra Cricket Association for the opportunity and the support throughout my cricket career. I am also grateful to all the teams, franchises and counties that I have been able to represent over the years,” added Pujara.

“I would not have done so far without the precious advice from my mentors, coaches and spiritual guru – I will always be in debt.”
