Chennai Esports Global Championship (CEGC) reveals titles

Tamil Nadu Government’s Chennai Esports Global Championship (CEGC) announces Counter-Strike 2 International and BGMI National tournaments.
The flagship Esports initiative of the Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu, the Chennai Esports Global Championship (CEGC)announced two major tournaments featuring Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) And Mobile Battlegrounds India (BGMI) in collaboration with Skyesports. Both will take place at Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor stadium this November, marking one of the most ambitious esports celebrations ever in India.

CEGC-Counter-Strike 2 will take place from November 7 at Gbringing together the best teams of India, Southeast AsiaAnd Europe compete for a A prize pool of 50,000 USD.
This prestigious tournament will be part of the Valve Regional Rankingsmaking it one of the key events to watch out for and positioning Chennai as an up-and-coming destination for global esports. Registrations are open in all three regions, with the top two teams from each qualifier qualifying for the playoffs in Chennai.

CEGC BGMI event
THE CEGC-BGMI the tournament will follow from November 14 to 16featuring India’s leading mobile esports teams competing for national glory and market share. 50,00,000 INR jackpot. Details on the tournament format, prize pool and invited teams will be revealed soon.
THE Opening ceremony on November 7 will bring together global stakeholders, government officials and esports executives to inaugurate the championship. This moment will mark the start of a new chapter in India’s esports journey, making Chennai a hub connecting local talent to global opportunities.CEGC this is not a one-off tournament; it is the foundation for the long-term global expansion of esports in India. It combines community, culture and competition to build sustainability rather than a fleeting spectacle.
An official initiative of Government of Tamil NaduEnvisioned by the honorable Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, it represents a historic milestone as the first international esports championship supported by the Indian state government.

Ingandhi Stalin, promote emerging and futuristic sports disciplines and empower the masses of the state youth demographic.
