Chelsea signs the old arsenal transfer target

Chelsea officially confirmed the signature of Jorrel Hato of Ajax, announcing that the defender signed a long -term contract at 2032.

“I am very excited, I am so happy to be here,” said Hato. “I thought a lot about my future and wanted to make the next step in my career. Chelsea is the best place for me, so I’m very happy. ”

The Blues would pay 35.5 million pounds sterling more than 3 million pounds Sterling for Hato, and Ajax also has a sales clause included in the agreement.

Arsenal identified Hato as a target in January 2024. But it was then that he was flowing his contract, before signing a new five-year agreement with Ajax.

The Gunners were much less passionate after that, although there are still rumors that they could relaunch their interest this summer, given the need for defensive reinforcements. In the end, the club signed Cristhian Mosquera de Valence for 13 million pounds sterling instead.

Aside from Arsenal having already added a defender, the Gunners have also generally spent a lot of money this summer. The current total is around 200 million pounds sterling spread over six players after including additional modules.

If there is room in the budget, it is more likely that Arsenal will want to use it on another attacker player, not a central defender who can also play on the left back.

This has given way to make Chelsea making an undisputed offer for the 19 -year -old, and their move is now over.
