Chelsea was frustrated so as not to leave with a point when they conceded a late equalizer to Brentford on Saturday evening.

It was far from being a classic blues display, Cole Palmer out of the bench to do it 1-1 at the start of the second half, while Moisses Caicedo seemed to have won it late with a superb strike.

However, Brentford managed a goal of stopping time to do it 2-2, in a result which was probably just overall.

Read the rest for our player notes after what will look like three important points for Chelsea…

Chelsea players assessments

Robert Sanchez – (6/10) – Perhaps not entirely convincing on the goal of Brentford, even if it was a decent finish, but made a safeguard and was mainly solid throughout.

Wesley Fofana – (5/10) – Coming as a rear right of fortune, Wesley Fofana looked very unconvincing in this role, and generally a little out of pace. Hanging for Reece James at halftime.

Jorel Hato – (5/10) – Also quite poor today, Jorrel Hato was another who looked at the rhythm and who did not last long, Marc Cucurella suffered to replace him in the second period.

Tosin Adarabiyo – (6/10) – Not really strong enough about Brentford’s goal because it was slow to read the danger and could have done more to close the player, but otherwise solid.

Trevoh Chalobah – (7/10) – A strong performance at the rear, with a good passage and good leadership in what was a real test for Chelsea.

Caicedo months – (8.5 / 10) – It’s not his best game, but provided quality when it mattered the most with an astonishing late goal of giving Chelsea three important points.

Enzo Fernandez – (7/10) – became the game, but not really to his best and who looks like a player who has returned from a long flight around the world for international service with Argentina.

Facundo Buonanotte – (6/10) – One or two moments when he showed his quality, but overall, not enough to make a brilliant impression, and one of the few players to hang at halftime.

Pedro Neto – (6.5 / 10) – Worker and alive, but nothing Pedro Neto tried completely for him tonight.

Jamie Gittens – (5.5 / 10) – seemed disturbing of his depth, but it is still early for Jamie Gittens in the Premier League. Subseint at the start of the second half.

Joao Pedro – (6.5 / 10) – I couldn’t get on the match sheet today, but it has quality and gives Chelsea a presence in advance that they have been missing in recent years.

Sub: Cole Palmer (8/10), Tyrique George (6.5/10), Reece James (7/10), Marc Cucurella (7/10), Alejandro Garnacho (6.5/10)
