Chelsea has now submitted a proposal of 50 million pounds sterling for a “generational” striker, who could be online to join Joao Pedro, according to journalist Simon Phillips.

Pedro Set for Medical before Stamford Bridge Move

The blues were certainly occupied in the first steps of the summer transfer window, with an agreement for Jamie Gittens of Borussia Dortmund, which would approach the end of the completion, and English is not the only online advantage to move to Stamford Bridge.

Indeed, Fabrizio Romano has now revealed that Joao Pedro by Brighton & Hove Albion is closer to a move to the west of London, with an agreement worth more than 50 million pounds sterling on Sunday evening.

Phillips has since taken praise to rent Blueco for the way they did business this summer, saying: “I applaud Chelsea for the speed of Joao Pedro’s agreement, no mess there. In addition, the club supports Enzo Maresca by the way.

“He put new attackers as a priority, and the club forced players to correspond to his vision of football. The more will follow, far from being finished here.”

By bringing new attackers of important importance for Maresca, Chelsea has now made an approach for another striker, after submitting a verbal proposal of 50 million pounds sterling on an agreement for the Kudus Mohammed of West Ham United, revealed Phillips (via the Chelsea Chronicle).

The proposal, which is not classified as an official offer, was returned by West Ham, however, the London rivals of the Blues are apparently held at higher costs, having previously evaluated the striker at 85 million pounds sterling.

Despite the rejection, the blues remain interested in signing Kudus alongside Pedro and Gittens, indicating that they could return to the negotiation table with an official offer.

Kudus “generational” could flourish in Chelsea

The Ghanaian struggled to stand out in a poor West Ham team last season, but he proven herself in the Premier League in the past, collecting eight goals and nine assists in 33 games during the 2023-24 campaign.

Not only that, but the 24-year-old is considered a “generational” talent for journalist Gary Al-Smith, indicating that he could be able to embark on a high-level club, if the Hammers were ready to sanction a departure this summer.

Enzo Maresca will not sign it.

There may be concerns that the winger is not a necessary signature, given that his colleague winger Gittens is already ready to move to Stamford Bridge, but the blues are in a healthy PSR situation, having actually sold their female team to themselves.

As such, if Chelsea has money to splash this summer, it could be worth bringing Kudus, although the proposed price of 85 million pounds sterling is far too high, since it has not yet proven itself at the highest level.
